National Volunteer Week 2016

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate and express how grateful we are to the thousands of volunteers who make a difference in the lives of people affected by MS. The MS Society of Canada is a volunteer organization: founded by volunteers and continually fuelled by the initiative and dedication of our volunteers across the country.

Volunteers are involved in everything that we do. You are a key member of #TeamFight as we strive to find a cure. You assist us in providing services to people living with MS. You advocate for disability rights and inspire our government to make changes to policy that will improve the quality of life of those affected by the disease. You are involved in our research programs and in building public awareness about multiple sclerosis. And you are most definitely involved in fundraising in order to make all of these things possible.

We are proud of our 13,500 volunteers across the country who play a crucial role in the everyday lives of people affected by MS.

Simply put, our volunteers are amazing!

Please join me in taking this opportunity to celebrate the outstanding contributions made by people who selflessly donate their time and efforts in the fight to end MS.

We are thankful every day, but this week, I would like to extend an extra special message of gratitude and use the opportunity to profile some of our fantastic volunteers.

Stay tuned to our social media channels all week long for more videos, stories and celebrations!
